Relevant Sustainable Development Goals

This is the first of our Carbonless Leadership series of virtual roundtables on decarbonizing Asia, featuring Ilaria Chan from Grab, Camille Levy from GE and Jay Mariyappan from Petronas for the corporate perspective. Watch below to learn about the responsibilities of large multinationals in driving the efforts towards net zero; the need to achieve ‘the right balance between sustainability and affordability’ (as many countries still rely heavily on fossil fuels); and the importance of customer engagement and buy-in.

Since Asia is already responsible for more than 50% of the world’s CO2 emissions, and given that the region’s development momentum threatens to make the problem even worse, the need for action has never been greater. With this series of virtual roundtables, Tech For Impact and Carbonless Asia are bringing together influential minds for an Asia-wide decarbonization dialogue.

The Carbonless Leadership Series will culminate in the Carbonless Asia Forum, 31 March 2021. More here. Through these conversations about corporate, policy and financial perspectives on the challenge, the leadership series will lay the foundation for common understanding and ongoing dialogue about the carbon issue in the Asian context.
