Digital tools can streamline public finance and save countries billions – but vetting and implementing these tools can be confusing.

As a result, many countries plod along with outdated financial management systems.

To de-mystify things, the consulting firm AlphaBeta Advisors has partnered with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on a “Digital Innovation in Public Financial Management” study that gives a layman’s overview of new financial technologies.

In this new Unmasked Interview, AlphaBeta CEO Fraser Thompson tells TFI about the report’s findings and how they can bring the financial revolution to Asia’s low-income countries.
